Sorry, thank you and welcome back!

I have missed you all!!!! As you might have noticed, I have been away for quite a while. No, I have not stopped blogging. This is one of my most treasured spaces and I value it deeply because of how intertwined it is with my life’s purpose so it’s sacred to me. My absence over the past five months or so has been for two primary reasons: first, I got married in March to the love of my life, Jeremiah. He’s an amazing guy, great dad to our daughter Adia and loving husband over the last few weeks we’ve been married. Lol!

Our little family 😊

So I took the break before March to do final planning for the wedding and after the wedding to settle into the family role. Secondly, I took the time away to really reflect on what this transition means for what I have to say to my fellow Millennial Mums. As you may know, this blog started out mostly for single mums, as a single mum myself, but now that I’m married, this isn’t the case anymore. Regardless, I still had so much more to give to those who read my content, and for which I am eternally grateful!

About my title, ‘Sorry, thank you, and welcome back,’ I’d like to say, I’m sorry I’ve been away for so long. Several of my readers have reached out asking about the several weeks of silence and while it was too long an explanation to give, I was so honored to have been asked about the progress of the blog. I believe the brief explanation I’ve given here answers that question in a nutshell. Secondly, thank you for your patience and understanding. It wasn’t possible for me to plan a wedding, settle into our new home, get back to work, all while coming up with new and relevant content. The outcome wouldn’t have been anything I would have been proud of, because I aim to put out only that which I truly believe God has laid in my heart. Finally, welcome back to the Millennial Mum family! This new chapter will be slightly different from what I did last year but I hope it will have just as much, if not more, impact.

Briefly, I’d just like to let you know that the new Millennial Mum posts will be much more in-depth regarding the different topics I’ll be writing about. I plan to do month-long series on various topics which relate to single motherhood so that it can be much more relatable and practical because that really is my aim.

Starting first week of June, I’ll be doing sub-topics of the month’s theme and your feedback will be extremely helpful in guiding the process. Feel free to reach out to me as well and let me know what you would like to hear about. It’s for you all that I do this. So welcome back as we begin the next phase of this journey, together!
